Grade: strenuous. Packed lunch required. Walk limited to 40 people.

About the walk
The walk leads through Darnick, then to Huntlyburn and Rhymers Glen, climbing to Cauldshiels Hill (good views). The route takes a drove road to Lindean Reservoir where the birdwatching hide provides a lunch stop (good site for wildlife enthusiasts). The return is by Over Whitlaw, Holydean (historic castle), Bowden and the Eildons saddle back to Melrose.
