Grade: moderate. Packed lunch required.

About the walk
The walk follows a section of the Borders Abbeys Way currently being developed, using minor roads, tracks and paths to link the Abbeys and towns of the Central Borders. The route traverses the edge of the Selkirk Hills to Half Crown Corner before joining an old drove road by Over Whitlaw and Faldonside Moor to reach Cauldshiels Loch. It then drops down to Abbotsford, finally following the Tweed back into Melrose.
