Grade: strenuous. Packed lunch required. Walk limited to 40 people.

About the walk
Leaving Melrose, the walk passes over the saddle of the Eildons into Eildon Hall Estate, and continues through well kept woodland and along disused roads to the Rhymer’s Stone. We cross the Tweed at the meeting of the three bridges at Leaderfoot, on to the Black Hill and Earlston. The return to Melrose is via Gattonside Hill with views of the Tweed Valley.
