Borders River Guide is run by Mike Allan, a fanatical fisherman, who has fished on the Tweed for nearly forty years.
A choice of packages is available tailored specifically to your requirements. Everything from a 3 and a half hour session to a full day (7 hours) or several days can easily be arranged on the Tweed or itís tributaries. Anglers of all abilities are catered for. You can have as much or as little help from your guide as you want. For full days a packed lunch and refreshments can be provided so there will be minimal disruption to the fishing.
All equipment is provided but if the angler desires, he or she can use as much or little of their own equipment as they want. All tackle supplied is of good quality from top manufacturers and is perfect for the job in hand. Tackle includes everything from rods and reels to flies, waders, waterproof wading jackets, fly vests and safety equipment. Life vests, wading staffs and eye protection can all be supplied if required at no extra cost.
Fishing the Tweed for wild fish can be daunting, but your fishing guide will make sure your chances of catching are maximised. Local knowledge and choosing the right flies and methods are of paramount importance to a succesful day on the river.
