We are a specialist fruit tree nursery set amidst the rolling hills of the Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders.
Our focus is on the thousands of heritage fruit varieties whose wealth of history, flavour and tradition has largely disappeared from the shops. Naturally, our location lends itself to our particular enthusiasm for Scottish varieties whose heritage is a fascinating topic in its own right. We believe we have as comprehensive an offering as can be found anywhere.
We have a wide selection of apple, pear and plum trees. Fruit trees are remarkably resilient and the varieties we grow have been chosen, in part, for their relative hardiness. Nonetheless, there are a number of factors which can influence the well-being of your trees.
Beyond rearing trees we offer a number of ancillary services: we provide bespoke propagation if you want specific varieties and or rootstocks; our consultancy service can help with orchard planning and management; and we are regularly engaged in spreading the message about top-fruit – orchard days, farmers markets and so on.
