Eildon SingersThe choir, founded in 1979, currently has 55 members, drawing people from throughout the Central Borders. A friendly group, we meet for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, from September till May (7.30 - 9.30pm), in the Morrison Hall, St Mary's School in Melrose. The choir presented The ‘Nelson’ Mass by Joseph Haydn, and Coronation Mass by Mozart on Sunday 8 May 2011 in Melrose Parish Church. This was warmly received by an appreciative audience. Our Christmas concert, 'Carols Round the Globe' will be performed both in Selkirk and Melrose. The programme includes The Fantasia on Christmas Carols with soloist Jamie MacKenzie, carols from the four continents, carols for you to sing along. In Melrose we will be joined by the inimitable Nenthorn Baroque Ensemble. Selkirk concert: Selkirk Parish Church 11th December at 7.30 Tickets £7 includes mulled wine and mince pies.
